Banadir Teacher Training Institute (BTTI)

Banadir Teachers’ Training Institute (BTTI) is a college established in the year 2001 by FPENS with the aim of presenting scholarship sponsorship opportunity for the members of the public to pursue a two years diploma in education and as well providing them Pedagogical training for the teachers. The Institute has been operational for the last twenty years under the administration of Fpens Education Network.

In its own disposal the college was able to adapt two different learning methods called part time and full time and hence offering pre-serve and in-serve teacher training so that teachers from diverse background are built professionally and are able to demonstrate the best teaching approaches in their respective schools.

Over the years the academic Institute   produced lots of educated and contributive teachers who without them the education sector would have lagged behind in the academic arena.

The faculty of education of the college comprises of four educational departments; namely Mathematics & Physics, Biochemistry, History & Geography and Islamic studies. These four carrier courses present an opportunity for the scholars to make a choice to select the course of their dream. Thus classes are formed out of the mentioned courses.

Qualitatively, the college has employed professionally well-equipped teachers with vast experiences in the teaching industry. The ministry of education had assessed, ranked and silenced the college to continue providing the educational courses as usual. This is a remarkable achievement obtained.

The Institute has made a great achievement in building trust among many learners in the society particularly those interested in the faculty of education. This is noted from the number of students seeking admission yearly.

Owing to the growing number of scholars seeking registration to join the college for the free educational course, the Institute has succeeded in expanding the learning spaces available and enabling two part time teams and one full time team consisting students of all the four the department to study in a day.

It is worthy to mention that, currently, there are one hundred (100) students graduating soon and 120 freshly registered learners for the academic year 2022-2023.

1. Provision of free diploma educational course in the departments of Mathematics & Physics, Biochemistry, History & Geography and Islamic studies
